Saving Hopeless Teeth
A root canal can save a tooth that has damaged or
infected roots. It is important to keep all teeth intact
and avoid extraction whenever possible. In the past,
root canals received a reputation for being painful. But
with today’s advanced procedures and anesthetics, they
are manageable with little to no pain.
We are very experienced in root canal therapy and saving
a tooth from extraction. During the procedure, the pulp
chamber of the tooth is removed and replaced with a
specific type of filling. Sometimes a crown will be
added to give more strength to the remaining tooth
structure.
