We use only composite resin filling material for
restorations. There are no metals in it, and it bonds
very tightly to teeth. With the standard filling
material, silver-mercury amalgam, the metal does not
adhere well to teeth, which often allows decay to set in
under the filling. A composite resin filling can be made to match the shade of your tooth, making it aesthetically pleasing while also adding strength to the remaining tooth structure. Patients are pleased that these fillings are not visible, like the amalgam fillings are – a very noticeable dark plug in light-colored teeth.
