Care in Complete Comfort with Sedation Dentistry
With conscious sedation dentistry, every patient can be
comfortable during treatment and free from fear and
anxiety.
It is just a matter of taking one pill an hour before
your appointment. As you sit in the dental chair, you
become more relaxed until you reach a level of sedation
that allows for complete comfort. You are still
conscious and able to respond to any questions.
You are not completely “out” as for surgery. Some
patients worry that they will be unconscious and fear
losing control, but you are still capable of perceiving
what is going on around you. Only your anxieties and
fears are relieved.
For those who are highly resistant to anesthesia and
can’t get numb, conscious sedation dentistry works very
well. And if you don’t have time in your busy schedule
for repeated visits, conscious sedation dentistry lets
more work be performed all in one visit. We also offer
nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, as needed in some cases.
